Latent image

In order to make your latent image a negative you must go through a process to make it. You must reel your film and put it in a tank with chemicals in it. These chemicals are called developer and you must leave the developer in for a certain amount of time at a certain temp (68 degrees). You must then poor in a chemical called "stop bath" which neutralizes the chemical process and must be in for 15 seconds. You must then poor in fixer for 2mins and let it sit for 2mins, fixer lets the photo become lightproof. Once that is completed you must water wash it for 5mins.

Focus shot

You are shooting outside on a bright, sunny day, and you want to make sure that you get as much stuff in focus as possible. Which of the following F-stops is best, and why?

You would want to use the F22 because a small aperture is the best for taking photos in bright light.

Track meet

You are about to shoot a sprint at a track meet and your shutter speed is set at 60, which of the following should you do, and why?

You would want to increase the shutter speed because a fast shutter speed is used for high light and stopping action, you would only want a slower shutter speed for low light and or a still shot.

Essential working parts of a modern camera

The essential working parts of a modern working camera body would be, the main switch which turns the camera on, the shutter release button which you press when you take the photo, the shutter dial which changes the shutter speed, the exposure compensation dial which changes the amount of light entering the camera, the back cover release button which opens the back of the camera to put in film or take it out, the mid-roll rewind button rolls the film back into the case so you can take it out before using your whole roll of film, and the lens information contacts help you set the lens to the camera.

PhotoJ notes

Two things that are essential for photojournalism that the camera obscura could not do would be that it can't zoom in or out on its images, and it doesn't have a flash or a shutter on it.

Emulsion is light sensitive gelatin and silver-halide crystals that help form images by condensing or dispersing on the images depending on if they are light or dark images. The dark images are the ones with not as many cluttered crystals as the light ones.
